Above are all my FFXIV alts that I roleplay with a bit - although Reign is my main for roleplaying right now ! [Shion is my 2nd]
Hello there ! My name is May and I play P'Rein ! I just wanted to have a little note page here so y'all know what to expect !I am a part-time bartender irl who is trying to become a vet assistant so I can get into animal rescue work in the long run ! I love roleplaying, playing games, creating stories with friends, and doing art in my free time. I have many characters whom I love a lot, and I'm always wanting to learn about people's lore so please infodump on me about your character-- erm, anyways here's some basic little "rules" about roleplaying with me below !1) If I have RP tag on, I'm IC and totally up for you to approach (and might approach you if you have your tag on!)2) I am 100% open for romantic and sexual relationships to be formed with my character, but that's just it MY CHARACTER, NOT ME - I have to put this because I've had a lot of trouble in the past. I promise I'm just a chick that loves to simp over OCs as much as the next guy but please, don't try to act like you're interested in me because I can assure you, I am ACE as hell and also will never be interested in an online relationship EVER no exceptions, thank you. PLEASE do not approach me with that mindset, I will block you. Reign is also officially off the market IC, so if you make romantic advances, know he will be turning you down politely <33) With that being said though, I would love to explore more mature themes in roleplay with Reign! He has been through quite a lot, and loves to interact with people of all backgrounds. Just remember what he says and does does not reflect the roleplayer!4) My discord is available upon request, but please know that I do have anxiety when it comes to DMs most times (sorry aaaa). HOWEVER, I'm making a roleplay specific server for this man soon!5) I am a semi-lit to fully literate roleplayer! I am used to forum roleplays and am trying to become more comfortable doing it in an MMO setting. * chaotic neutral despite being discplined individual when on duty for the flames -- very approachable!* posted outside (sometimes inside) The Quicksand when on duty!* if your character is a pearl lane associated character, they probably have heard of him in some manner!* is constantly barhopping, but doesn't really stay for too long to get drunk with others. he has been kicked out of a couple of taverns for fist fights with other unruly customers in an effort to keep the peace. possibly you've seen him or heard of one of these bar stories!* visits venues with courtesans or hosts/hostesses; however, only spends time having pleasant conversation and tries to tip his servers well! he isn't really seen trying to use private services ever - usually politely declines. Usually, not always.
Young P'Rein [TEEN]
16-20 years old
Reign's first memories begin on Pearl Lane in Uldah. Alongside many refugees, he remembers befriending the many miqote, hyurs, and lalafells that mostly decorated this said street. He has no blood - at least that he knows of - in Uldah, but considers this place his home due to the found family he has made along the way. P'Rein does not share any memories he has of before his teen years - mostly because he can't remember fine details, and wishes to keep it that way by dodging reminiscing on such.
The moment he was old enough, he joined the Pugilist's guild to start earning money at least in a more "sound" way than the occasional thievery. This was suggested to him by the Ala Mighan refugees he had come to befriend in his teens. With their guidance, he started to learn skills through the miner's and pugilist's guild in Uldah. Still, he struggled to make money on a regular basis and still resorted to thievery when needed.
When work was hard to come by, he took the advice of a fellow miqote friend of his who went by P'Anai. She was a dancer, but also worked as a "hostess" as she put it, and suggested he come work with her. This lead to three years of some questionable work that P'Rein doesn't divulge to many. He began to make many more friends through these jobs, however - increasing his connections with many of people outside of Pearl Lane and in varying social classes. He also learned skills such as bartending, networking, and participated in many of fighting tournaments involving no weapons. (That, he will happily admit to, especially as he won many of his fights.)
The Immortal Flames [Young Adult]
21-23 years old
P'Rein had caught the attention of a certain Flame Captain at a party he attended when he was 21 years of age. He was acting as a bartender at the time, and had managed to share his story of being on Pearl Lane with him after the Captain admitted to recognizing him from busting a fighting ring he participated in. This interaction strangely turned to his favor, instead of his arrest, as the Au'ra offered to train him to join the ranks of the Immortal Flames. Reign happily accepted, as this meant he had a sound income. This Captain, named Oz by his peers, took him under his wing, and let him live with him as well instead of finding random apartments to sleep in each night. Their relationship was a bit questionable and rocky to say the least as he lived and trained under him. Despite their relationship becoming more turmulous and complicated, Reign was showing exceptional promise amongst the Flames and in his training to become a guardian.
As P'Rein climbed the ranks, he soon was appointed specifically to Oz's squadron. This is where he started to butt heads with the xaela the most. Rein no longer returned to the apartment where they both lived, and instead reverted back to his usual of flitting between apartments to stay in, and others to stay with. Along with not returning to his shared apartment, he started to not report for basic duties with the squadron. He hasn't shared much about his reasons for his active avoidance, but soon it led to him being released from the Flames. He now returned to become a fist for hire and did odd jobs where he was wanted. Despite not having stable income, he instead gained his mental clarity again.
When he was about 23, he focused on building his connections again. He developed something nicknamed "The Ruby Network", which was essentially a group of adventurers (or others of certain abilities) who tried to keep the peace on the streets of Ul'dah. This aimed to protect the places the Flames didn't reach, such as underground markets, hidden refugee base security, and promoting business. His associates were not always the best morally to have around, but he seemes to not care one bit what business you deal in as long as he deems you a loyal, trustworthy person. During this time, he mostly was found rooming with his best friend - Celeste Reed in their goblet apartment at the time.
What's Happening [Current History]
24 years old - current day
P'Rein was accepted back into The Flames after the previous captain he lived under - Oz - was terminated for non-disclosed reasons from The Immortal Flames. Reign seems to know all these specific reasons extensively, even if the actual grand company refuses to share the knowledge publicly. He immediately took head of a small squadron of adventurers, and they were nicknamed "Ruby" - with each of it's members adorning ruby earrings handmade from Reign himself. When he is not heading squadron expeditions, he is seen posted out front of the Quicksands to keep the peace at night.
When the miqo'te is not on duty, he is either now found in a bar, out mining, or at his personal lounge. He made his current residence into a makeshift area that others may visit under the radar in Ul'dah. The doors are open to those in his linkshell for the Red Network, and welcomes all manners of business. They can range from goldsmithing commissions from him personally, information, a personal job, or even to talk about "hosting" type services or catering. P'Rein can usually be found relaxing at his apartment when he is not busy, and will act as a bartender in the lounge to give his friends that work there a break.
P'Rein also has embraced his "side talents" as he calls them. He is now doing tattoos for those interested, as well as basically being a bartender for hire. He's usually found somewhere where alcohol is involved - whether he's the one drinking or serving (doesn't matter which). Oftentimes, he invites newly found friends and associates to his apartment and lounge back in the goblet for after-parties. He tries to promote his friend's businesses as well, as well as himself since he is an amateur goldsmith open to commissions. (this is IC and OOC as well!)Instead, he is more often than not seen with another miqote named Xeyri around the goblet and Ul'dah's vast city when they are both free. Nowadays, her and many other friends of his have been coming in and out of his residence daily it seems. It seems he's planning on investing in a new residence, but for now, The Rubellite is still open for business!

He is frequently seen on pretty much every street except Sapphire Avenue. If he recognizes anyone from Pearl Lane, he looks out for them the best he can on and off duty. |

He is trying to balance Flames duties with his personal ones outside of the organization as well, all to help the people of Uldah and it's surrounding areas anyway he can. Eorzean sign is something he is most familiar with; but, he has a close friend named Shion who uses Doman/Hingashi sign. The Rubellite is a secluded area of the Goblet where some more secretive business and conversations may take place. P'Rein has opened up his apartment and made it into a makeshift reception and bar area for the citizens of Ul'dah. Open for hiring if you wish to become a part of the family; otherwise, a welcome venue for those wishing to take a load off after a day of business (whatever it may be). Sometimes, his own adoptive sister [P'Anai] is also seen hanging around ready to bartend as well.
